To kegel or not to kegel

The fun of “Kegeling”

I bet most of you go to the gym once a week or may be even daily. We frantically exercise as it is the in thing. Start with lightweight plastic or silicone balls if you are new to this. Sets typically contains two to three balls. We suggest you start with a two-ball set that is attached to and have a removable string. You can increase or decrease the number of balls as you become more comfortable. Cleanliness is of the essence as you do not want to introduce bacteria to your vagina. Wash your hands and the balls thoroughly with hot water and an antibacterial hand soap before and after use. Run them under water to remove excess residue. Pat them dry or let them air dry before storing in a safe location.

Apply a generous amount of your favourite water-based lubricant to the balls and your vagina before attempting to insert the balls one at a time. You may want to lie down with your legs spread or in a squatting position.  Gently and slowly insert the balls, one at a time. The removal string should hang outside your vagina. The balls should always feel secure inside your vagina.

You may feel a subtle, tingly sensation that will intensify with movement such as walking, dancing bending, etc. Go about your day as usual, only you will know about your secret.

Try some targeted exercises to tone and strengthen your muscles once you are feeling comfortable. Tighten your muscles to squeeze the balls, hold for 5 seconds and relax for 5 seconds. Repeat 5 times to make up one set. Perform up to three sets per day. You can increase the number of sets performed over time or upgrade to a heavier ball.
